2003-2005 Yamaha YZF-R6, 06-09 YZF-R6-S

On this page you will find two different styles of frame sliders that fit the 03-05 Yamaha R6 and
06-09 R6-S:

Street Version- No fairing modifications

Race Version- Open hole cut in the right side plastics (special tool available on this page
for hole)
Street Version

Fits the 03-05 Yamaha R6 and the 06-09 R6-S model. Will not fit the new R6
styles that were introduced in 2006 and again in 2008. The R6-S model has
the same body as the 03-05 R6. Please call if you are unsure of the difference
between the R6 and the R6-S and we'll be glad to explain.

This style uses a 6061 aluminum mounting bracket for the right side (throttle
side) frame slider. This means you do not need to make any modifications to
your stock plastics to install this set. The left side is a direct bolt on part, so no
modifications are required for the left either. This style is offered in the 1-3/4
inch diameter size only.

Frame sliders are made of Delrin and have aluminum inserts. Right side
mounting bracket is black anodized. The set comes with 12.9 grade, high
strength mounting bolts.

Race Version

Fits the 03-05 Yamaha R6 and the 06-09 R6-S

This style mounts directly to the engine mount bolt location, so cutting of
the bodywork on the right side is required. If you have race bodywork on
your bike or just don't mind cutting your stock mid fairing on the right side,
this set is the best value.

The set comes with 12.9 grade, high strength mounting bolts.

This 6061 aluminum guard is
mounted on the sprocket
side of the swingarm and will
prevent fingers and toes
from being pulled into the
sprocket if the rider were to
land on top of the bike in a
fall. This CNC machined
guard bolts directly to the
swingarm of the R6 using
6MM screws and Nyloc nuts
that are provided. There are
no modifications or drilling
required- the 03-05 R6 and
06-09 R6S has a tab on the
swingarm specifically for this
part. It takes just a few
minutes to install the guard
and it is well worth the small
investment to protect your
fingers and toes.

Replacement Frame Sliders For 03-05 R6 and 06-09 R6-S
Our special alignment tool will mark a spot on the
inside of your right side mid fairing or race lower so
the cut-out for the race version frame slider will be in
the correct place.
